My old blog

posted in: About Us, Personal | 2

I am getting back into blogging and will re-launch my old blog.

Not many people know nowadays that I was actually very active in blogging, when it wasn’t the rage at all. My first blog entry was on June 10, 2003. Reading it today, it feels like totally naive, but what the heck, that was me and is part of my history.

Over the years, I build up the old blog at blogger – I was one of the first persons to report on the Tsunami in 2004, which was reposted in many news agenies, and that created so many tragedies and changed the way, people look at the sea.

Sometimes in 2005, I moved on to Movable Types, saying farewell to my old blog. I moved to Movable Type and kept blogging. At that time, I started to work as NLP Trainer, and related lots of my writing to NLP, Mind Management, and Hypnosis.

I stopped in 2010 with a write-up on the Mindset of Malaysian Drivers. And kept quiet. somehow, blogging didn’t gel with me and while I thought about it every now and then, I just couldn’t get into the mood to start working at it again.

In the middle of 2012, I thought I wanted to take a look at it again and consider a re-start/ re-launch. To my surprise, Movable Type had moved on, had merged or whatever their story was.

I remember all my writing, and the hours I had spent on maintaining my blog.  As such, I contacted someone from Movable Type and over the weeks that followed, the person tried to figure out, what happened. It was a slow process but ultimately, I could log in back to my blog.

But, since everything had changed, I didn’t know how to blog anymore. I got more frustrated and over the time, started to explore WordPress and ended up here – but not until I copied over 800 pages from Movable Type into a Word Document. I cleaned it up and am levet with nearly 500 pages. Gosh, I tel you, reading all the personal and professional material – it brings back memories.

Now, I decided to get back into game.

First, by reposting my old material – take a look at it and surely, you will also find some memories about old times, but also inspiration. It is full of anecdotes, NLP, stories, and mind managment (but currently, I only posted back to 2008, so be patient!!).

I will also write again, may be a bit rusty initially, and it might take a while to get back to my old drive, but I am determined and look forward to plenty of new entries in 2013.

I would be grateful if you would follow the blog and leave a comment, at least every now and then!

Sometime in 2010, I totally stopped. I burned out and felt that there is nothing to share anymore.

  1. Very nice post. I simply stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I have really enjoyed browsing your blog posts. After all I’ll be subscribing for your rss feed and I hope you write again soon!

  2. You can certainly see your enthusiasm in the work you write. The sector hopes for more passionate writers such as you who aren’t afraid to mention how they believe. All the time go after your heart.
